Discussions By Us, For Us, About Us

This past October, VHEI’s Co-founder Weiwei Wang led a panel discussion at the Health Equity Summit hosted by The University of Vermont Medical Center. The conversation featured Thato Ratsebe of AALV, Wichie Artu of NAACP Windham County, La’Keiah Gillespie of the NAACP Rutland Health Justice Committee, and VHEI’s Co-Founder Belan Antensaye. The community members discussed their roles in advancing health equity in the BIPOC community during the COVID-19 pandemic, how their shared experiences affected the way they work together, and what needs to be improved to obtain proper health equity.
